As an occupational therapist, I have always been fascinated with the human body and the miraculous way it changes and heals in response to how we think, feel and move. My love of teaching and inspiring others led me to writing my book, The Art of Self-Health, Creating Total Well-Being from the Inside Out and dedicating my life’s work to empowering others through integrative wellness mentoring, training, workshops and retreats. I believe whole heartedly in the integration and interdependency of mind, body, spirit and emotions. Every one of the simple tools and practices that I teach others, I have used and integrated in my own journey of navigating through the stress of a variety of personal losses and physical health challenges. My approach, guidance and accountability works!
I love to dance, and find great pleasure in moving my body in fun and expressive ways! I believe that our physical body is a sacred vessel and is the home to our infinite spirit. The human body’s potential for strength, mobility and resilience is simply miraculous, and it is the purest reflection of how we live life.
My husband Bill and I live on Grand Lake with our dog Dottie, and have named our cove “Turtlecove” because of the number of turtles that show themselves throughout the year. The turtles are just one way that Mother Nature speaks to me as an amazing teacher and guide in understanding our natural call to balance – self-health from the inside out.
